dream land EP Release
Listen to Peach here.
Lavender Boy created by Sage Jepson (another amazing boco belter) is an extremely talented and wonderful person inside and out. I always loved seeing Sage in the halls because he was always donning an absolutely fresh vintage find in the form of a jacket or shoes usually.
I absolutely adore Sage and it wasn’t at all surprising when he came out with this Sam Smith-esque EP. Sage’s voice is impeccable and fits perfectly with this fantasy ep. Using percussion, airy guitar, and Sage’s main instrument, his voice, I get lost time and time again in “dream land".”
Peach is one of my favorites from this floating little ep. Featuring our own Sarah Katherine in the video clip, we enter Sage’s dream land of dripping red and Miss Monroe herself. Built on a growing percussive repetition, Peach takes me in and wraps me in its arms. Brooding and growing in intensity, Peach is a classic. In the entire EP, lavender boy plays with vocal layers and atmosphere weaving into the ora that is dream land. All recorded and produced by Sage Jepson.
FFO: Sam Smith

“Home…At Last” - St. Albert Today Interview 3.30.20
Colleges and universities across North America have closed campuses and begun to offer courses online, a necessary precaution against the COVID-19 respiratory virus.
For one local university student in the United States, a sudden campus shutdown, an unexpected change of flight itinerary and riding out an earthquake all took place within the last week.
Sage Jepson, a second year Bachelor of Fine Arts student in musical theatre at Berklee University’s Boston Conservatory, was one of many who received a blunt email from administration on March 11.
The email simply stated it was shutting down all in-person classes and putting courses online where instructors would teach from their home. In addition, all students had exactly one week to vacate their dorms with all possessions.
“I initially freaked out and called my mum. After realizing I had seven days to pack up my things, move and book an airline ticket, I decided to respond in a calm manner,” said Jepson.
Due to a flight cancellation, long waits between flights and an earthquake in Minneapolis, the former St. Albert Children’s Theatre actor arrived at Edmonton International Airport on Thursday, March 19, one day after he was slated to return.

“As the coronavirus pandemic continues to make headlines, Berklee College of Music student Shelbie Rassler is sharing a simple message: What the world needs now is love. NBC’s Harry Smith has this week’s Sunday Closer.”
Here is the segment which aired on the TODAY SHOW on March 29, 2020. Sage was honored to be asked to submit a video answering a few questions about this beautiful project!
“What the world needs now is love, sweet love” 3.28.20
This past week, a video of 70+ Berklee/Boco Student dancer/vocalist/instrumentalists, lead by composer, Shelbie Rassler and mixed by Dan Santiago, went viral. The song, “What the World Needs Now is Love” by Burt Bacharach and Hall David, spreads love even in the darkest of times. It was an honor for Sage and his younger brother Skyler Jepson, to be included in this project and cannot believe the entire world is embracing their art and staying positive through these uncertain times. At 1:53 his solo begins, with frequent features of his brother!
